Location: Southern Utah amid the Grand Circle of National Parks
Description: Brian Head was a successful “day tripper” ski resort that attracted locals and visitors from the Vegas market. Lack of lodging, dining, and other amenities kept it from becoming a family getaway.
| Product: Proposed new development included new lifts, extended terrain, multi-family housing, cabins, home sites, a golf course, and most importantly, a core village with shops, dining, and plenty of activity. |
Challenges: The Vegas market had been hearing about proposed renovations for years and credibility was low. |
 |
And, with no marketing or public relations, new residents moving to Vegas knew nothing about Brian Head.
Approach: After several sessions with the owner, architects, engineers, city planners, and resort executives, The B-HIVE created a new vision brochure and interactive website showcasing the changes that were coming. We re-positioned Brian Head Resort as a “four-season family spot” and worked with a Vegas media and PR firm to put on special events to get the word out.
Results: The first season had substantially increased skier days, Resort revenues were up, and most importantly, a buzz began about Brian Head in Vegas. |
